Don't know if I'll ever get to the bottom of the meaning of that word.
Either way, the concept of that alone is so making me favor female Portugal more. It seems so delicate and sentimental (don't know if that the right word here?)
(And so Portuguese I don't even know why)
She(or he) make such an interesting character. The more I read, the more I look, only make me love them more. Portugal make amazing contrast to Spain, although the male version almost looks like his twin. I just know he'll give off such different air it'll be no trouble telling them apart.
For me, Portugal is so much more sensitive and delicate than Spain. As a woman, she has a masculine side to her that allow her to survive among all the males around her. As a man, he has a gentle side that differentiate him from Spain. (well, since my Spain is one step next to a lunatic, Portugal has a lot more sanity in him)
Having said that, I'm never going to drop a sadistic trait in both of them, especially the female Portugal. Even Spain can't mess with her.
I just love how these concept of each countries fit the character so perfectly. Even if it sometimes seems 180 to what we see in Hetalia.

Fem. Portugal is just awesome here *-*
Hun... By the way... Im portuguese ^^
This is just so gorgeous!
Saudade is the feeling we get whenever we miss someone. We usually say "Tive saudades tuas", translated as "I had saudades from you".
It's a very complex mix of feelings, you see.
This pic is really beautiful~~
I wish that were more such thoughtful concepts like this one out there~
Female Port's grown on me quite a bit. It seems like you have a lot of the same headcanon that I do (albeit mine is for male Port) in that while he's similar to Spain, if you compare their behavior, he's just...less extreme. About everything. I do definitely go along with the whole stubborn as a bull thing, though --something that's interesting to see in Port's history is that whenever someone ever tried to conquer them (read: Romans), the Portuguese would fight when others would settle.
I dunno. I just. Aaah. I adore talking Portugal headcanon with people because so few people have it and bwaaah this is a long comment
The piece is fantastic, btw. <3
I probably have a thing for stubborn character...That might be why I love Port so much. I love talking about Port too. We Thai people like her way more than England and France. And she taught us to make our signature snack!
I guess Port is less extreme (because he seems to have more brain? as in not so crazy.) But when in come to stubbornness, there's hardly anyone who can compare with him.
orz...I keep on switching between he and she...
